ARTIST STATEMENT
My artwork represents my personal odyssey and battle with Familial Adenomatous Polyposis which resulted with a Total Gastrectomy. One of my aims is to highlight how creative practice can be used as a technique that allows us to process, reflect and heal. My work explores the relationship between the body and the themes of emotions and illness by challenging the traditional understanding of the correlations between emotions and colour. My artworks generate tension through the use of orderly structures that have been inspired by symbolism, distorted space, and image removal.

As an artist, I am constantly on the lookout for new methods to transform my daily experiences into creative interpretations. As I strengthen my personal style, my approach and output are continuously shifting and evolving. I approach each endeavour with absolute devotion and enthusiasm.
