Life Without a Stomach
Life Without a Stomach is series that investigates themes of trauma, pain, and disability through the use of colour that is representational of emotional states that accompany chronic illness and the depiction of the artists life living with chronic illness.
Although it is a series that is personal to the artist, it also creates opportunities for the viewer to ask questions, to relate to a time of isolation or pain in their life, and to speak about illness and disability. Art facilitates a space for awareness, questions, reflection, and shared experiences.
